Palestine

Where: Hebron, West Bank

When: 10th-24th November 2011

How much: £1500. This will cover costs for the trip including flight, accomodation food and travel insurance, income remaining will go towards funding the development of our work. This amount must be raised prior to departure. (see fundraising Tips)

Brief Description:

Hebron to the south of the West Bank in Palestine is the largest area in population and area in Palestine. It is one of the most marginalised areas in Palestine. People suffer from financial crises, bad health conditions, resulting in poverty and unemployemnt. You would be working with 2-3 other practitioners in a multibed clinic style service. The partner organisation in Hebron is 'Volunteering for World Peace'. You would be working with marginalised people from the rural area and those who live in refugee camps in Palestine. The service will also be open for those interested.

Where: Nablus, West Bank

When: December 27th 2011 - 9th Jan 2012

Brief Description:

We will be sending another group of 4 practitioners to nablus in the West Bank to continue our ongoing work in the area. World Medicine has already completed 5 projects in Nablus and has built excellent relationship with our contacts ther. we have seen patients make good progress. More details to follow.

India

Where: Chaparda, Gujarat

When: December 3rd -23rd 2011

Brief Description:

In December we will build on the success of our recent work in the area of Chaparda in Gujarat, in conjunction with our partner organisation, the Mukti trust. The villages around Chaparda are rural communities with no medical facilities and our work has been very well received on our previous two projects in the area.
